NFL Refusing To Consider Keenum For MVP Because It “Feels Too Weird”

While the Associated Press normally gets to vote for whoever they want, this year the NFL has prohibited anyone from voting for Case Keenum because it’d be super weird.

“Don’t get me wrong, he’s been great,” said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. “But Case Keenum? Wasn’t he bad for like… a while?”

Even Vikings fans are supporting the decision. They’re extremely pleased with Keenum’s play this year — but admit that “MVP Case Keenum” sounds like someone made a mistake.

“He’d also have to give a speech at the NFL awards show,” added Goodell. “Obviously, we’d have to figure out some kind of alternative. Like maybe Cam Newton speaks on his behalf.”

“He’s a phenomenal leader who’s really taken my game to another level,” said Vikings receiver Adam Thielen.

“But whenever he’s in the huddle with us, I can’t shake this voice in the back of my head that’s like… dude… Case Keenum? Like, he’s good right now, but he’s not good good. You know?”
